  • Do you have a voice that deserves to be amplified?
  • Do you want to share knowledge, information, events, announcements, recipes, activities and beyond?
  • Are you a civil society activist or do you represent an NGO and want to reach new audiences?
  • Do you have fresh, new music you want to get ‘out there’?
  • Have you always wanted to produce your own radio show?

Then MYCYradio is for you!

In April 2013, the Cyprus Community Media Centre (CCMC), with support from the European Commission Representation in Cyprus, launched the island’s first multilingual web radio station – MYCYradio! Streaming live online at , MYCYradio currently hosts over 40 radio broadcasters representing a number of different communities from across the island. Programmes are also available to download in podcast format immediately after the end of each show.

We are currently open to applications from people living and organisations registered in Cyprus. Just fill a simple Application Form provided that they agree with, and adhere to, the MYCYradio Guiding Principles.

Anyone can apply to produce a show!

Join the Community Radio / Media Literacy Training Session!

What: Full training will be provided by CCMC on a special full-day Media Literacy / Community Radio Techniques training workshop.  Don’t worry if you feel you’re not technically equipped – anyone can do radio! During the training, we will present and discuss the newest trends in Citizen Journalism, techniques and opportunities offered by the strategic use of new media, as well as brainstorm on how we (i.e. you!) can bring the community closer to media! This training is conducted within the framework of “Your Voice in Europe” project, supported by the European Commission Representation in Cyprus.

Anyone can apply to join the (free!) training – just RSVP by sending an email to . Priority will be given to those applying for a show and to existing MYCYradio producers.

Anyone interested in becoming a MYCYradio broadcaster can submit an application form to the MYCYradio Station Manager.  The Station Manager will consider the application and then forward it to the MYCYradio Management Committee that will discuss and review the application. The MYCYradio Programme Committee is also invited to offer input on all applications.

Once approved, the applicant will be invited to sign a Declaration of Commitment to the Guiding Principles of MYCYradio. The applicant will then be contacted by the Production Director to schedule equipment training and orientation. Following the completion of the training, applicants will be able to record their own show to be broadcast on
